fall 2My idea of a perfect autumn evening would be a roaring bonfire on a crisp night. The moon always appears bigger and brighter on those cold nights. I also love the way the sun’s rays hit the reds and golds of the changing leaves, setting them ablaze. Since I live in the frosty north, things get cold quickly. On those nights, I enjoy staying inside to watch paranormal and horror movies that run rampant during the month of October.

Let’s not forget the chance to curl up with a good book! I enjoy reading a whole slew of paranormal characters from werewolves to vampires, zombies to demons, griffins to gargoyles. My favorite paranormal character would be a dragon, although I can be sold on any of them as long as they are done well.

So what is your favorite paranormal character? Leave a comment to win!

That’s a hard questions as each of them has their special appeal, but if I have to choose one it would be ….. a vampire but one like Jeaniene Frost’s Bones.

    • Stacey Brutger on November 29th, 2013 at 2:43 pm

      ohhh, Bones…good call.

Great series by Jeaniene Frost, too!

I would say Acheron from The Dark Hunter series.

    • Stacey Brutger on November 30th, 2013 at 1:47 pm

I’ve never read Acheron. I have the book, but fell off the Dark Hunter band wagon. I might have to go back and read that one.

      Wow, lots of Vampires!

I’m seeing less and less vampire books released. It’s good to see there is still some love out for them. :)

I don’t know about you guys, but autumn nights are cold, and I’d want a werewolf to warm it up!

(Subscribed as well. Hope you see my email in the form)

    • Stacey Brutger on December 1st, 2013 at 2:57 pm

      Oooo, a cuddly werewolf. Yum!

    • Stacey Brutger on December 2nd, 2013 at 12:23 pm

I dropped out of reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, but I remembered loving them. I have the last four books in the series in my tbr pile.

I’ll have to dig them out and read them.

  13. Joye on December 1st, 2013 at 6:14 pm

I have always been fascinated by wolves-their elusiveness and their strange beauty. So my favorite are the werewolves

    • Stacey Brutger on December 2nd, 2013 at 12:25 pm

I love wolves! I have a husky. They’re not the same, but they remind me of those majestic beasts.

  14. ghwasd on December 1st, 2013 at 9:19 pm

My favorite characters tend to be supernatural witches. The kind with special elven abilities. Know the type? ghwasd at gmail dot com

    • Stacey Brutger on December 2nd, 2013 at 12:27 pm

I love the idea of witches. I’m more into dark, urban fantasy, but sometimes, funny witches can work as well. Good choice!

  15. Eva Millien on December 1st, 2013 at 11:21 pm

I love them all, how could I pick just one when they all add something special to each and every story. I love snuggling up with a good book. Thanks for sharing the hop and your giveaway. Wishing everyone a wonderful and magical holiday season! evamillien at gmail dot com

    • Stacey Brutger on December 2nd, 2013 at 12:28 pm

Ooooo, harpies! I forgot about them.

  20. Sandra on December 2nd, 2013 at 5:49 am

Oh, such a hard question to answer! I’d have to pick reapers. There are a lot of interpretations of a reaper and I love reading about them all! Plus, they’ll never go away ;)

    • Stacey Brutger on December 2nd, 2013 at 12:31 pm

I’ve only read a few books about reapers. I’ve enjoyed them! I wouldn’t mind seeing a few more books with them.

  21. Carolyn on December 2nd, 2013 at 9:21 am

My favorite would have to be shifters. There’s something about that duality, their existence in two different worlds. Love it! Thank you so much for sharing with us and being part of the hop.

I agree Carolyn. Something about warm-blooded shifters just works for me. They might not be my favorite, but they are close.

      Thanks for subscribing.

  22. Michelle Willms on December 2nd, 2013 at 4:27 pm

I don’t really have a favorite; I love so many paranormal characters. I love shapeshifters of all varieties, witches, ghosts, wizards, etc. My least favorite character is the zombie. Decaying body parts with foul odors, leakage, and slime is simply not appealing. I am following your blog. michelle_willms(at)yahoo(dot)com.

    • Stacey Brutger on December 3rd, 2013 at 12:37 am

I’ve never read a zombie romance (where the zombies were the hero/heroine), but the movie Warm Bodies was a hoot.

      I have you entered.

  23. Gia Shaw on December 2nd, 2013 at 6:38 pm

Ohh I love Bones from the Night Huntress series but I’m feeling werewolves today so I’d say Adam from the Mercedes Thompson series, hot!

    • Stacey Brutger on December 3rd, 2013 at 12:35 am

Mercedes Thompson is a great series. I just finished Silver Borne a few weeks ago. Loved it!

    jmesparza821 at gmail dot com

    • Stacey Brutger on December 3rd, 2013 at 12:39 am

I had a hard time getting into ready Kresley Cole first series, so I’ve been hesitating purchasing Lothaire.

I might have to give it a try. Thanks!

Aside from vampires, I like Jacquelyn Frank’s demons.
    bituin76 at hotmail dot com

    • Stacey Brutger on December 3rd, 2013 at 12:38 am

I have a few of Frank’s books, but I never got around to reading them. I’ll have to dig them out of my tbr pile.

      Thanks for the recommendation!
