To do lists....

To Do Lists

Are you a list person? The last month or so I’ve forgone my regular lists and couldn’t figure out why nothing was getting done—hence the lack of regular blog posts. I find if I don’t put what needs to be done on the list, they’re either forgotten…or it’s easy to say I’ll just do it tomorrow. Funny, but that same excuse pops up the next day and the next…well,  you get the drift. I enjoy actually being able to cross things off my lists. It makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something.

Another kind of list that I rely on heavily is a shopping list. I would be lost without mine! Sure, I purchase things that aren’t on my list, but not very often. I really try to stick to the list. It keeps me from forgetting things AND it stops me (most of the time) from picking up things that I don’t need.

I also have a wish list for my books and a list of movies I want to watch on NetFlix.

How about you? Do you use lists to keep organized?

Goals...

I wanted to make a point in celebrating the small things in life, so when I published my tenth book, I decided to buy myself a little something…

Penguin

I love animal necklaces. This little guy fits right in with the others. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Not to be outdone, my husband picked out a small gift for me as well…

Ramsey

We get this little fella tomorrow from a local shelter. My husband picked him out. *squee* I’m soo excited!!

We’re still struggling to come up with a name. What would you suggest?

Electric Night - Cover Sneak Peek...

I’ve been busy the last week and haven’t had time to post, but for good reason…I just hit the publish button on Electric Night! Whoohoo!

What that means is that the book should be live sometime this weekend! I’m super excited!! I’ll let you know as soon as it goes live.

For your patience, below is a little sneak peek of the cover for Electric Night.

Electric Night Banner

What do you think? Isn’t the color gorgeous? I can’t wait for you to see the full cover!

More information to come soon…

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween

Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. Funny how life seems to get in the way of things. I hope everyone has a fabulous Halloween!

My Halloween day started at 3:00 a.m. when the ‘oh mighty hunter’ aka the dog, found his nemesis aka a possum hiding by the garage. I heard barking, but didn’t get up to investigate until 3:30 a.m. Unfortunately, by then, it was too late. The fight was over even before it had began and the possum was too injured to save. A shame. It looked so cute and fluffy.

Anyway, puppy feels very proud of himself, calling us out a few more times before 5:00 a.m. to view his prize. *gah* Thank goodness it wasn’t a skunk like he chased two weeks ago. I don’t think I could take another 40 degree weather de-skunking bath for the dog. *sigh* Here’s a fun fact for you…did you know that when a smell is so intense, a person can’t fall asleep?

It’s cold and rainy today, a sure sign winter is coming. *pouts* Since we don’t live in town, we don’t get any trick-or-treaters. How about you? Are you doing anything to celebrate the holiday? What is your favorite candy?

Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the book you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual.

What I purchased last week:
Brace yourself—I didn’t buy anything this week! *Waits for you to pick yourself off the floor.*

But I did pick up a few free books. Here are the ones that are still free:

I’m fighting an infection, so not much for me this week. What books did you get last week? Have you read any of these?
