I’ve been stuck in my writer’s cave for the last few weeks. Thankfully, I’m coming to the end of the book. Then, all I have left are the edits. The last chance to improve my work before I send Electric Moon off to my beta readers and editor.

As noted in the picture, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve been treading water for a while, so I’m excited to find out how the book will end and begin fixing things in the story.

After months of waiting, spring is finally here. We reached 70 degrees! We still have a few snow piles melting yet, but the snowy season is done.

Time to get back to the story. I left Raven and a few others facing off with the killer. But not everyone is friendly. One of her men has been taken hostage. She must risk him being infected and possibly killed…unless she can find a way to eliminate the threat before it’s too late.

So imagine my surprise when I checked on my books last night and saw a little symbol by Electric Storm. Digging a little further, I learned it means that I’m a BEST SELLER!

How cool is that! I’m over the moon. I’m not in the top 10, not even close, but it’s the simple things that give the biggest thrill.

Our Summer geese left over a month ago.

Last night the temperature dropped below 60.

The trees haven’t turned yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see that

happening sooner rather than later.

So, finally after two months, I finally was able to find time to read the story. The primary word that springs to mind immediately is “Electric”.
 
 
I thought this book was very well written and full of sizzling, detailed description. It drew me in from the start and I refused to put it down even when I needed to get to bed. The author crafted a detailed fictional world full of interesting, diverse characters.
 
 
The heroine, Raven, is a natural born protector and leader. It’s rare to find such a strong, engaging alpha female. Also, the heroes, and I do mean hero in the plural form, are all very swoon-worthy and protective of Raven. It was intriguing to read how their motley pack formed and continued to grow throughout the book.
 
 
The author did a fantastic job setting the basis for a series and even managed to sneak in a cliffhanger at the end. Of course, I’ll have to pick up her next book so I can finally find out what happens! Jeez. I’ll be waiting for that one, Ms. Brutger!
 
 
All in all, Electric Storm is a book you do not want to miss. If you are looking for a captivating read that will reel you in from page one, go ahead and pick it up! I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Some days being a mother can be the most challenging job. Other days, the most rewarding.
